SMEs: 52mn World Bank Support
for Zamfara gender, vulnerable groups

A World Bank assisted program has empowered members of the gender and vulverable group in Zamfara state to motivate the establishment of small scale and medium entrepreneurship to reduce youth restiveness and job stagnation.
During the disbursement ceremony held at the Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) office Gusau, governor Matawalle commended the effort of the World Bank for the assistance it is rendering through the CSDP and pledged his government's support to the programme.
The Governor urged the beneficiaries of the Social intervention to make good use of the money through the implementation of micro projects in the areas of Education, health, water, social and economic development of their communities.
He also called on the youth in the state to be more creative and venture into meaningful businesses that will make them self reliant.
He said if the youth partake in businesses that will promote industrialization, the state will be a better place to proper.
He urged wealthy individuals in the state to partner with the CSDP in providing communities with the ten percent requirement of the social organization so that many communities will benefit from the programme.
Delivering his address, the General Manager of the CSDP, Alh Garba Mohammed Gusau inform the Governor that the CSDP Programme is a World Bank assisted project and has been assisting so many communities in executing development projects.
The beneficiary communities of the program include Sabon Garin Nasarawa Godel,Sabon Hayi Women Group, Shiyar Sarkin Gabas Women Group, Kaya Youth Group and Yartukunya Cripples Group among others
